Hms safety
Heritage Middle School has some as the best safety the school can afford. They have detailed earthquake drills. Like if you were in the gym where to go. How you should look when an earthquake happens for maximum chances of survival. That not the only drill they have. Like the tornado drill. Were they teach there student to go to down stairs. Also in a fire drill. Like we're to exit. They also teach you what to do if your in the bathroom if a fire drill happen. First you should check if the door is hot if it is stay in the bathroom and turn on the water and try and hold back the fire as much as you can. If there a lock down. You have to go away from the door and hind. 25 out of 31 student think HMS is safe. The reason this is so important is these show overall more students believe that HMS is a safe place for student, staff, and teachers.
Another peace of evidence that show that HMS is completely safe is that 19 out of 31 student think HMS as and will been teaching them the right amount of thing you should do in one of these disasters ever happened. The reason this is important because this show that the student believe that they are being teached all the right thing and thought times.
Also they just don't teach where to go or how to look if one of theses disasters in school, but also out side of school like that in your home. If you're at home and there is a tornado you should go down stairs to a room without glass. If your in and earthquake drill then you should go under your bed Because the the soft bed will protect you from any Debris from falling on you. Or in a fire that you should grab all your siblings and run out the door.
A way that kid can help make HMS safer is the can make fundraising to help fix or put in new sprinkler to help agains fire. Parents can also help by donating money. When it come to safety anyone can help. Safety is very important to our school and to out live. So that why HMS is most safes school in Illinois.

In Heritage Middle School 2014 located in Berwyn Illinois. A school was stuck in a hard locked down for 1 in tire hour. The rumor is a student saw another person with a gun then immediately told a teacher. After he told the a teacher the student of Heritage school immediately went to in to a hard lock down. Cop swarmed the school.There are helicopters in the sky.
The students first thought is it was a dill, but after 20 to 30 minutes they realize that this was no regular lock down drill. Anthony Sanchez a student who was in the locked down said" I was so cramped under the desk it was almost unbearable to stay they, and to make it worse a kid poke me in the rib and made me it my head on the top of the desk".
Another class affected by the lock down is a class of student that were on a field trip at the time of the hard lock down. They were forced to stay at the park in there buses till the hard lock down was over. The lock down was very scary event for student of Heritage Middle School. There all happy that it over and in the past.
